Just got this one in the mail. Not the prettiest, but I got quite a deal on it. What do you all think?

I'll say MS-61, possibly 62.

Do not know about the burn marks. What did ANACS grade it as? Did you add conservation to the coin when graded. Usually they do an amazing job on conservation with coins. They clean up hazing and a lot of marks you think they can't get off. They have done wonders with a lot of the coins I have sent in. 61 or 62

A lot of deep contact marks and the unattractive toning. MS-62

MS62. Obv/rev die clash. The cheek is a problem, but most of the Unc 1892's I see tend to be bag marked to the point where finding coins clean enough to pull MS64 and above is more challenging than other dates.

60 OBV with a 64 REV equals 62 to these tired old eyes!

you're right not the prettiest however the 92(P) are known for weak strikes and this one is pretty darn good for the year. the reverse looks MS64 to me. obviously the obverse has issues. the cheek has been banged around and the cheek luster has been compromised. the carbon spot is distracting as its a pretty size. I think it comes in at MS62+. I've seen worse in 63 slabs

The cuts are deep but there aren't enough for it to go as low as MS61. I think this would grade at MS62, unsure what ANACS thought. The reverse is quite nice but does not drag it up to MS63 imo.

Going to post results now, as I won't have my computer over the weekend. Anacs thought MS-61. I am considering breaking it out and trying NCS to see if they can do anything about those carbon spots with their conservation service. But either way, I only paid $360 for it, so I am ecstatic.
