Hi
I think I may have found 2 1989 D pennies with an 88 reverse. Any and all help with this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I didn't know a 1989D RDV-005 existed. If it is RDV-005 it would be a really nice find. Wait for more feedback on this one. And to find two of them with what appears to be different obverse dies... hmmmmm.

Cecilia Sowinski, notice the space between the FG and the building?005 is wide-006 is closer.

On the 1988 P & D you want RDV-006 normal would be 005
On the 1989 you want RDV-005 normal would be 006
I think I got that right now help

I'm with lawest, that would be a cool find and new transitional variety. I would say it's just over polished though. If you look at where the lower part of the serif is further east than the upper part, it does not match the RDV-005 but does match the RDV-006.

I found one of these a while back. Posted it with the same responses. Isn't there something about the AM that is different on the two reverses? Also the placement of the FG.

Definitely the 006. Keep hunting

Look at the marked up pic of the OP's. This is an over polished RDV-006. It would be even if it were an RDV-005.
