I see doubled eyelid bumpy gougie but there, I see the U of trust uneven and slanted with extra thickness - T and R show extra thickness. The 66 are slanted and squiggle just right, no way those funky fat twisted 6's are rim hits. The rim hits are there alright...going right across a late mid-die state 1966
DDO 001.
I have studied the die variety and have owned an MS65 two MS64's the only 63 RED ( darn it went cheap way way too cheap) two AU58's a 55 a 53 and an XF-40 raw that I shall not part with.
Clincher is the N.E. die scratches (faint but I see them) going mid bust into the 19 of date.
Good news is you have one, bad news is its XF sorta rough and probably the latest die state before it was changed or wore to smoothness. Jury's out on that, IMO the die was changed out mid wear maybe it was spotted? but one things certain this is a tough seldom found
DDO a niche
DDO and has a volatile price for a
DDO that in theory due to 3 die states should have much higher POP reports.
Keep this coin, turn it upside down Kant it 15 degrees down look hard at the U of TRUST with a 16× loop and you will see the steps, serifs, doubling etc. then study that D of GOD pow!the rest will show.
Find or buy a slabbed early die state for comparison and you will know.
3 mints cranked out hundreds of millions and there's around 100 slabbed 1966 FS-101's probably 20 are resents. The early die state MS coins show clear separation on GOD WE TRUST, eye lid and all 4 letters of date. LIBERTY shows nothing its normal. Value raw $50.00 slabbed $60.00
