I just started bank roll searching nickels a few months ago and when I start on a new to me denomination, I like to peruse the sites for what varieties are out there, before I start. I noticed there were only three transitional varieties for the Jefferson nickel, this is one of them. Rare but does not seem to carry much of any premium, a fun find none the less.

I also found one thread on here.

Ah yes, the "very high relief Adam's apple" variety. That is a fun find!

Congrats on the find. Glad you're finding some coins to search.

BTW- Did you start their very own frustration can for the nickels?
You know, the "unattributed ones go in til a later date and you have more time" can!

We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Thanks for checking it out, man! Not too many fans of the odd variety or just don't get it.... You and Spence. Anyway, they all go to the same graveyard or until I get the urge to dive in, hate to call it a graveyard. All denominations, if I'm not in the mood to figure them out, go to the aggravation can. Just guessing, a few hundred now.

Plastic tubes for each denomination will protect the coin better than the honey hole collector. (Always buy the hard plastic tubes, as the soft plastic ones can turn the coins color with PVC damage to BU coins. Same also for flips. The soft flips will alter the color on BU coins)

I agree, coop but most of my bank roll finds are just where they need to be, usually not in the best of condition. If I do run across one that is, it goes here.
