Has Anyone Ever Seen This Error? (2000 Sacagawea Dollar Coin)

Any info on this type of error the letter L has ripples on both sides looks like 5 and the letter O has ripples only to the right anyone have idea how that could happen or what it might be worth if anything would be a big help thanks for your time * Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. And to me it looks like it could be double strike or maybe triple strike? Petespockets55 Pillar of the Community United States 5772 Posts	Posted 04/11/2022 05:05 am It's hard to tell from the images, but your coin seems to have some Die Deterioration on the left side of the "O". I can't see the "ripples" you mention. But if they are straight lines radiating from the center they might be die flow lines. These die flow lines can be produced on the surface of the die after excessive use of the dies, as the metal from the coins flows across the surface of the die. In the past, die maintenance and polishing were employed more often than now. Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 04/12/2022 6:12 pm If it is a plastic case/2X2, they maybe plastic scratches on the holder/2X2. Best to take the images in the raw (the coin that is) so the shine/holders imperfections don't accent what you are seeing. When add a light source to the image, then it reflects off of the holder.
