What's Going On With This 1964 D Nickel?

It seems as if there's very faint letters on different places of this coin. Its very hard to make out in some places and my photo quality doesn't help but the photo of the lettering on the mint mark should be the most prominent example. Any clue what this is?

On the 5th and last photo, it looks like there's a rim ridge running through it as well

Yep
Letters are images caused by Die Deterioration.
My opinion.

1. Image '4' looks like grease near the rim area. (A toothpick will be able to move that if it is)
2. If not moving, it maybe glue or something spilled on the coin)
3. The purple color reminds me of a coin that was stored in a soft 2X2 flip that contaminated the coin with PVC coloring. (removing this will leave the coin dull in color as it removes the top layer of the coin's metal)
