200.00 gamble its going out today to ANACS love the split rims, type 1 reverse, and TDR reverse. Hate the obv.
Anyone think this will MS straight? I'm calling it UNC details obv cleaned.

Although I see the hairlines on liberty's neck I think the obverse has less than 50% luster. Maybe au55 due to rub beyond the high points. Toss up on the cleaning due to the hairlines.

PCI is known as a basement slabber so their opinion doesn't hold much water.
They are not recognized by ebay and any coin listed in one of their holders must have the grade blocked out.
Taking it out of the slab and resending it to a reputable grader will give a more accurate grade.

You are spot on with UNC Details Obverse cleaned. Maybe you will get lucky and ANACS will call it market acceptable and straight grade.

AU58 Details cleaned. Obverse fields look a bit flat a lifeless as well.

Thanks any AU straight grade would be peachy ask price was 260.00 I balked offered 200 tops only because of reverse type 1. $150 would have been better maybe it will come back AU original but obverse is pretty dull. Will post results in 5-6 weeks.

i cant see it coming back straight but you never know. I dont see any wear from circulation so I'm with your at UNC details

Tough call but I'd go UNC Details. I'll be curious to see what ANACS says. Did you ask for attribution on the TDR?

NGC says in part "There is no great difference in rarity between the two subtypes, as the nominally scarcer Type 1 was the more likely to be saved for the simple reason that it was the first one encountered by a curious public." However, I found that Type 1 was more difficult to acquire, perhaps because collectors hang onto them. PCGS doesn't even mention the two reverse types, that I can find. For reference, I paid $188 for the AU58 posted in your other thread.

Not requesting attribution for type I or the TDR I'm figuring out the TDR is pretty common hard to see unless out of a slab and 1/3 the 1892 are some sort of TDR or DDR. Not dising it as I love all barbers its staying in my personal series set have plenty of closeups to reminisce on. Cleaned or straight am ok with these things just bedazzle me silly in higher grade.
It went out today economy with some Barber halves ANACS is shipping at 28-33 days on economy and last 3 shipments averaged 35 days from mailbox back to mailbox yay ANACS
