Hmm, between @mc's and @rob's posts, that is pretty convincing evidence of it being a clash. We so rarely see them at the bottom of the die--much more common on the fields so I didn't take the suggestion that it might be a clash seriously. Now I'm not so sure...

I thought earlier today that there could be more than one clash.
I was curious about the one on the neck and looked like four at the forehead.
(IF) I'm seeing this right. The purple arrows was the first clash then the previous pictures is the second clash.
Whatcha think? Lol. I better quit.

Thanks @makecents.
It would be great if Reddron could post clearer pictures of both obverse and reverse.

It is not a strike issue, but a die event. In the past there was a die clash and it altered that area of the incuse design. First time I've seen this affect. Most of the time it just affects the outlines of the deepest incuse devices of the die. So all other coins after that clash on this die, will have these strikes. (until they fix the issue, or if they even see it, then it will continue) Learn something new here all the time.
