1978 S Over D Gem Proof Roosevelt Dime?

Just a worn out punch. This is the mm I brought up a couple of times before. They discovered it was a reused punch from the 50's. Scroll down to the bottom pics and look at the one on the far right. Yours is a later stage of this reused punch.

The explanation is using the Lincoln Cent but as pointed out by coop, in another thread, the same punches were used in all denominations. The long and short of it, is your mint mark is normal.

So did you read it, what was in the link? It will give you a leg up on many here that have not. I think coop was one of the few that did.... I saw he added it to his CoopHome, awhile back.

Hope you can see the resemblance.

Also the die is aging. Note the ghost outlines of the die wear showing on the mintmark.design/devices are all showing the same die event.
