there are two rough surfaces on the coin thinking it might be grease stains. one is located at the point of Minnesota. the other extends from the boat down to the date. all commits for the futureappreciated

Can't really tell unless the pictures are clearer. Like the line by his nose could be a die scratch but it could be damage. Clearer pictures are needed to help you.

@cust, I agree that in the absence of better pics it is hard to tell if this coin was struck through gritty grease or has been abraded (damaged).

I think I see where the areas are, they do look like grease spots when coin was struck

Much better pic @cust, but honestly I'm not 100% sure on whether is is just a surface abrasion or struck through a little gritty grease.

Looks a lot better. I agree oil/grease/water with grit leaving the rough surface.

Probably not much of a premium for these. They are a striking event. To a serious collector, they would pass. To an error collector they might find interesting, but know what it is.
