1966 Australian 1 Cent Upset Error - Blunted First Whisker Variety Unc,

Hugo07 New Member Australia 23 Posts	Posted 04/28/2022 1:10 pm Hello Folks, I have imaged a 1966 Australian 1 cent, with upset rotated die approximately 143 degrees. The 2nd coin is 150 degrees and the 3rd which is a Gem is 147 degrees, I have stored these for many years and have a few more, when I get time I will try and image more - thanks for looking, I havent seen any apart for the one I sold and it was snapped up very quick. I hope you enjoy looking at the coins, I am looking forward to valued input on how rare etc - especially a key date coin. How rare do you think this coin would be and what sort of value do you think, its a little toned from an old time hand wrapped roll and uncirculated, it would grade MS63 or a touch better. Hugo07 New Member Australia 23 Posts	Posted 04/28/2022 10:46 pm Thanks for the reply, yes they are nice blunt 1st whisker errors, a standard UNC catalogues at $30, Upset and rarely seen in UNC, price I am not sure, that last one would grade a close MS66, it would have gone higher apart from the small mark below the 1 on 1966, hopefully someone can advise on price. OzLeigh Valued Member Australia 215 Posts	Posted 04/29/2022 03:32 am Nice coins. It seems to me you've got your angle measuring device upside down. 12 o'clock should be 0 or 360 degrees not 180. Therefore your coins are upset to 320-330 degrees, not 140-150. Report this Post to the Staff

Yes,all the varieties,mint errors,overdates etc seem to have gone off the boil the last few years,not only ebay but Auctions as well IMO.
