1982 Lincoln Cent With Pimples - Coin Community Forum

Bill Kerr Valued Member United States 421 Posts	Posted 04/28/2022 6:32 pm I have found in circulation a 1982 D Lincoln Penny that has excessive amounts of Cuds, therefore they look like pimples. Can you tell what could have possibly caused this and is there any value? Report this Post to the Staff

JimmyD Bedrock of the Community Canada 21586 Posts	Posted 04/28/2022 6:59 pm They are not Cuds, Cuds involve the rim. It is caused by plating bubbles and zinc dust, a common occurrence in the earlier zinc coins. Report this Post to the Staff
