AF1996 New Member United States 30 Posts	Posted 05/01/2022 5:38 pm Hi, I recently found a 2013 penny that might be a double die obverse? I'm still learning how to identify various coin errors. I think this coin might have Mechanical Doubling but may also be a double die coin? For example, when I look at the G it looks like there are 3 G's. It also looks like there are 3 2's? Biggest give-a-way is that all the "doubling" moves out-ward to the rim away from the center. Think of it this way, if you partially blow up a balloon then put a design on it all the way around it, then blow it up more - the design gets distorted and moves outwards from the center.
