My Wife just brought me A 2021 P which someone left in their pocket, and she heard it in our dryer rattling around.
So for all the newbies of the hobby that have not run into a ' Dryer Coin' hear you are! An interesting example of the Phenomenon. Regards and listen for the coin sound in your dryer.

This is not what is referred to as a " Dryer Coin". Perhaps it has been artificially toned by the heat of the dryer.

Agree, this may have been through the dryer but it's not a Dryer Coin.

I wonder if this artificial toning is more a result of the chemical detergent in the clothes washer rather than the heat of the clothes dryer. If so, then we could call this a "washer coin".

I've come across a few low mileage shield cents having similar toning. I'd keep it as a fun example.

Ok so it's a washer/dryer coin! A 2022 went thru the same process but didn't look anything like the 2021, just cleaner.

Dearborn, I kinda like it. Must have reacted to the chemicals in the soap.
