Hello,
I have this 1926 Peace dollar that I would like your grade thoughts on, this coin has an area around the rim on both sides that is a lighter color maybe from being in a folder? Any ideas about that?
Thank you.

Now that is a lovely looking coin and I lean more to AU-58 here. If not AU, then low mint state probably up to a 63ish...

I'm low AU, I'll say AU 53. The chatter around dol (from dollar) keep it at low grade AU for me. It's a soft strike like many of these were. Still a nice looking Peace dollar.

On the fence about whether it might be mint state. I'll say AU-58 to be safe.
