Only a very young kid might think this cent is rare , but would they have $2500 to buy it ? The sellers of these dumb listings are more ignorant than potential buyers .

As it's an example of current legal tender coinage, surely the listing contravenes ebay policy as it's an ungraded coin being sold for over $1,000?

Wow the rare 1945 steel penny with no mint mark and it is made of copper.Wow how rare. I should sent him a question why he is not selling it for more? This is exactly why I had called ebay and told them about letting people like this post their coins for sale is ruining the collecting of coins. I asked them why they can't police this issue better. They didn't have must of an answer. They are probably hoping the coin will sell and then they can get their cut of the sale.

Just laugh at the listing and move on. There are thousands of these types of listings across all selling platforms and they are never going away .

Seller is apparently aware of ebay's prohibition of listing raw coins for over $2,500.
