That is a perfect example of MD. Notice how much thinner the lettering has gotten and the step like appearance.

Agree, text book Machine Doubling. Suggest keeping it in a 2x2 as a fun example.

Note all the areas are on the outside edge of the devices. The contour is removed. I call this push doubling. The MD has pushed the metal so far the centers of the devices are smaller than normal. Not enlarged. Note the Big DDO:

Your coin is showing a reduction that is typical of Machine Doubling.

@hwb, it seems like the late '60s into the early '70s were a time when many cents with Machine Doubling were minted. Sometimes we see that on the date, but I like yours, with the MD especially visible on LIBERTY.
