Hi I would appreciate some help on this coin, it's a 1953-S Lincoln Wheat penny. I can't seem to find any error like it. Any ideas? The reverse of coin looks normal just the obverse have never seen anything like it.
People alter coins all the time. The mint makes, the public breaks them. So it is now a cull coin. The damage removes interest to serious collectors. While different, they are a wrecked car to a collector. Still a damaged Wheat cent though.
