Note about this example.
1. It affects the outside/inside areas of the devices.
2. The affected area has a 90 degree angle that has a flat bottom on that affected device. Note on the affected areas the metal has been pushed and now taller than the normal devices?
3. Not the contour on the devices on the opposite side of the devices. This contour is slightly round and make the light at the top of the device taper to dark at the bottom on that device. On the Machine Doubling it is like a cliff. It is a straight up and down area.
4. Machine Doubling is caused by a sloppy machine. A doubled die is from a doubled affect on the hub process on the die. A doubled die can have Machine Doubling. But Machine Doubling never makes a doubled die. Note on the example below, the DDO is present, but the yellow arrows are showing the Machine Doubling on this doubled die.
Machine Doubling is very common and doesn't warrant a premium. Those who pay extra for them will find out when they go sell them, they will end up on the short end of the stick.
