@904, it isn't clear to me what you are seeing with these pics. Can you please clarify what you question is? Thx. The last digit of the date is slightly doubled from DDD.

photo of both sides along with an explanation of what you are inquiring about.

Full, large and sharp pics of the obverse and reverse might help. At this point, I believe I'm seeing early Die Deterioration.

Die wear is on the tops of the motto devices. This is real common on the wheat cents as they used them way past normal retirement.
When you look at images for a while you can figure out what is going on with these dies:
