1905 Indian 1c - Missing 'O' In 'One Cent'

I came across this coin in my collection. It is obviously cleaned/polished with Good details at best. However, I noticed that the 'O' in 'One Cent' was missing. Could this be due to wear? Polishing? Die Deterioration? Please let me know. Sorry for the low - quality photos.

I had to compress the files. That made bad even worse.

Looks like a Grease Filled Die issue.

I agree that this cent could have been struck with some grease in the die that caused that letter O to not be fully struck.

Agree, a Greaser. And unfortunately cleaned, leaving it with very little premium.

Thanks, that's interesting! I did notice the outline of the 'O' was still present, I just forgot to mention it. I tried capturing it on camera, but it's more easily visible in real life.

I agree with a Grease Filled Die and harshly cleaned. You need to crop your pics before clicking on post.
