Got this Indian gold coin recently but since its first one I ever got dont know much about them. Could any of you share some info on them regarding year (if possible) or approximate date, variations, ruler or state name and most importantly if its real or fake ?

Thanks :)

Gold fanam.
Be aware that there a few 'fakes' 'restrikes' 'jeweler's copies' (call them what you wish), in good gold that are normally available.

They are a convenient way of storing small stashes of gold within the Indian population. With this sort of gold stasher it matters little if the coin is a genuine original or in one of the categories abovementioned; what is important to them, is that the gold is of good quality.
