I usually collect ancients but I do have a few other coins lying around (about 10,000 odd I think) that I never got around to photographing or properly cataloguing - most were collected way before computers and databases. So - as I am doing this - kinda randomly - I thought it would be a fun thread to see how many coins I could get in a row - starting from the smallest denomination up to the largest. The rules I set were - no two countries the same, - I must own them all, but that's about it - and it is only a bit of fun, so first up is this one, a 1/192 of a Rixdollar from Ceylon (George III) Copper 18mm, 2.31g, mintage - 3,600,000 Elephant standing left CEYLON GOVERNMENT KM 73 This is a pretty unusual denomination - likely based on weight. There is a 1/96 example too but I can't show it here as it is also from Ceylon

Not as many as that -- I haven't that many photographed yet - I think there will be 25 or so in total in this thread -- I know there are many blanks -- I can't find that Cyprus 9 piastres (doh!) but we'll see Second up then is this one from one of the Channel Islands, Jersey to be exact - with the unusal denomination of 1/24 shilling Bronze Mintage 120,000 KM 13 (I'll have to work out how to upload a picture from a reply yet)
