This coin is missing Lincoln's neck, part of his nose - some top lettering in "God We Trust" and the designers' initials on the reverse.

You can see some polishing lines at the back of the neck.

There was probably at one point where the die suffered Feeder Finger Damage, and when the rescue happened, it removed more the die, but they felt it was worth saving it. Sometimes the die suffer worse:
