a bit of glare from the 2x2 film over where the date should be, can you take it out an re-photograph it? Also try to turn it up-right please.

It looks like it was added. There is nothing on the die that could make that. I almost looks like a rivet was applied to the coin, but there is no disturbance on the reverse.

Is the year engraved on the die each year or is there an insert there they switch out. Also would like to know where it was minted. I don't see any marking under "Five Cents"
Thank you Buck! Also wondering about the splash effect surrounding the "nipple". I am a plumber, couldn't help it. I see an S in there. Possibly other text.

Looks like it was done after the coin was worn down. to the CCF!

to the CCF no mint mark means it was struck at the Philadelphia mint. Whatever it is, it was done after the nickel left the mint. Maybe some sort of fastener for a piece of jewellry. Still considered PMD

The date is just plain worn off, this was very common on the earlier Buffalo nickels.

Probably soldered to a pin or spoon which then broke off. Just damage.

Probably right, but it's hard to imagine anyone would want the buffalo side of this coin as an adornment.

Titanka, Titanka. Consumers pour their money into Walmart cash registers as the diarrhea pours from the Buffalo's anus. This is not a good time to enjoy Buffalo chips. Wish I had a super rare unheard of mistake coin worth 2 Mil. Thanks guys. & jk.

I figured it out! Around the sacred mistakingly placed amulet it says "Satoshi Nakamoto" and he is trying to troll me with a poo coin!

to the CCF! Looks like a broken post for an earring or pin back. I had one like this and the same thing happened to it. Pin back, that is. I wouldn't look good with an earring.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!
