Looks like a badly broken die to me. Look at how far offset the denticles are at around 4:00. Obverse die is about to shatter too. Interesting coin.

Late die state that shows many interesting cracks. You've got a Retained Cud on the reverse, a few hefty die cracks on the obverse, and some die clashes. Over all, not too bad looking of a coin, I see 2 very nice die cracks on the obverse, and a very nice Retained Cud on the reverse with some movement of the design elements. I'm fairly confident that this coin would be close to one of the last ones to be struck by these die pairs. Cuds on Coins might have this listed - if not, then I would submit it. |

I see at least one (maybe more) Retained Cud and a shattered die. Very neat multi error coin. "Buy the Book Before You Buy the Coin" - Aaron R. Feldman - "And read it" - Me 2013!
