Probably is MD but just looked like a different type of MD. I couldn't find something like it on their site but I could've over looked some clue. There's sure a lot of different types/causes. As the die ages, it leaves these lines just like it does on the fields with flow lines. Not a doubled as nothing is doubling. The scratches are on the devices on the die.
