May be a partial collar error. The collar was not fully deployed during striking.

Looks like partial collar errors. I thought partial collars were more one-off errors. It's fascinating that there would be a batch of coins that all have the same issue. Anyone know what would cause multiple partial collars in the minting process?

Oh Yes, I go it at the bank and take one box of pennies, and to my surprise all coin was new, (not circulate) I have found some others errors, in one roll all the coin have crack, O and R. Was so cool and fun for me find those coins, an also I found in complete roll double ear too, but something and curious about its that nobody is talking about it, and not in all but I had found some with DDO too.

At first, I didn't think partial collar. But if you think about it, if the coin isn't in the collar when struck the part that is out of collar would expand and split the electroplating off. Kinda like a Texas Cent splits the plating. It is unusual to have this many together. A machine wasn't set right somewhere

With the zinc exposed, they will also be rotting away. Sell them as soon as possible.
