Got this out of a bank roll today. First thought DDR but after a bit of lighting changes, it appears to be a possible plating bubbles on a very small scale. Sorry for the excess photos but there was a lot to show including an offset hit on the obverse. You do you think ?

A slight MD on the Obverse.
Split Plate Doubling on the Reverse.
Possibly zinc dust causing the rough surface.

Could be MD, but since it is all skewed toward the rim, I'm thinking DDD instead plus the split plate doubling and trapped zinc dust as noted by @jimm.

That makes sense. Thanks for the response. I'll add that one to my collection for future reference.

I agree, looks more like split plating to me. You can see the ragged edge of the plating on the field.

I agree, forms of non-collectible doubling.

Not sure where the term "zinc dust" came from, but I believe it was Mike Diamond (in a thread on this site) that stated that wasn't causing those 'pimples' [or something to that affect].

Just an aging die, showing the DDD as the die ages. (Note all the affected areas on the coin will show on the fields towards the direction of the closest rim) You could save it for an educational piece to show to a new collector. But has no premium for this. Put it in your show and tell examples for educational purposes. There is also some split plating issues on this coin as well.
