I came across this coin in a penny roll. If I'm not mistaken, google thinks this is a Jiangnan 1 cash 1908. Can someone confirm this and comment on its value? Thanks!

@mean, yes my coinoscope app agrees with your Google search (Kiangnan Province).

Thanks! I'll post it on grading next. I know nothing about these types of coins. The internet has a wide range for values. Do you know what it could be worth?

It's probably a 25 - 50 dollar coin. Not too common but definitely worth more than a penny.

Nice one!

My collector friends refer to this as a "nice find".
I thinks it's much greater than that.
I'd call a fantastic, superb or outstanding find to have so much luck.

Thanks all.

I was lucky indeed! I've seen Euros, British pennies, and various Carribean coins used to fill penny rolls and I just toss them into a foreign coin bag.

I tried looking this one up as I'd never seen Asian coins in a roll before.

This is definitely a keeper!!!
