I'm no matte proof expert but that does not look like it ever was a proof coin .

Looks like it was cleaned.

1910 was bronze alloy. Only cleaned coins will have this color. Probably was deep in some sort of solution and it is a very bad work. Irreversible.

Matte proofs are double struck and thus the devices are a lot stronger:
1910-Wheat.-Seeing-Some-Signs-Of-Matte-Proof
1910-Wheat.-Seeing-Some-Signs-Of-Matte-Proof
1910-Wheat.-Seeing-Some-Signs-Of-Matte-Proof
1910-Wheat.-Seeing-Some-Signs-Of-Matte-Proof
Note how fresh the devices are? Yours is not a matte proof. It's no the color that makes it a matte proof. It is the striking of the coin that makes it a matte proof.
