I know artificial toning is commonplace, and sometimes can be done well enough to be hard to distinguish from natural toning. And then there is this. Almost every silver coin in their inventory - modern, classic or bullion - has similar wild toning. https://www.ebay.com/itm/234587463688

Buyer beware--some people do love that stuff. It's the free marketplace, warts and all.

I like tasteful toning, but this thing is a scourge to my eyes and should be melted

Several ebay sellers appear to deal in 'force toned' coins--not just the one noted above. One would think that if ebay goes after one, they'd need to go after others. Ultimately, it's a buyer beware issue.

Did they nuke the rest of the seller's listings too? I only briefly looked at it yesterday and they were all like that.
