Afternoon all,

Hope you haven't melted in the heat. It's a hot one in Blighty

I recently acquired this little unit. I mistakenly thought I need an 1826 halfpenny for the collection, turns out I needed an 1825. Ho hum, mea culpa. A nice little one to move on at some point though. What would you say it's grading would be? Apart from the obvious mark on George's face, it's pretty clean in the field and lots of details on Britannia. I'd like to say gEF, but my eyes aren't that hot anymore.

On the Sheldon scale, I'd say not less than AU-58.

There is some thinning of the patina on the high points, that leads to close examination in those areas.
Tiny edge bumps.
Obvious cut on cheek.
Nice, even patina

Good EF ( British grading)

I am struggling to find any wear here at all. The surfaces are nice, just a few nicks and abrasions.

I will say this coin is BU (Uncirculated copper).

A stunner.

Minimal wear on the tips of the leaves, I'd say AU-58.
