I believe that is what happened to this coin. Does this have value of more than a penny and what should I do with it? Grade or leave as is? Thank you all again.

The reverse is not a Greaser, it has been ground down after the cent was minted.
Just a damaged coin now and ungradeable.

I thought the same but it still weighed 3.1 when it's on the scale

The cent may have started out a little heavy.
does your scale measure out to 2 decimal points? (eg - 3.11g)
if not your coin could weigh as little as 3.05 and is rounding up....
But Seeing how your CENT has no reverse rims, it has been reduced manually (sanded).
There is no sign of the 'proto rim either. The proto rim is formed during the up-setting phase that turns a blank into a planchet.

What is happening with the rim on the front of the coin? It looks like it been double folded or something?
