Wuteverdude New Member United States 12 Posts	Posted 07/23/2022 11:16 pm I purchased a 1878-S Morgan dollar at a pawn shop today. When I got home I put it under the microscope and noticed some pretty good doubling on the "Liberty" in the crown. To me this seems like a double die and not something like Machine Doubling. I am trying to find a known variety but I wanted some extra eyes on it and to see what you all thought. Please notice the doubling in "liberty" and the broken star on the right side. It is the 3rd star from the top and 4th from the bottom on the right. There is also the broken "r" in trust on the reverse. Thank you for any help given as always!
