This 1811 Half Cent is a more difficult date to aquire, and expensive in the problem-free mid to high grades. This coin has rough, porous surfaces. I would grade this coin VF-30 details environmental damage. Certainly worth at least a few hundred dollars.

always take the coin out the holder if possible. I have it at VF25 maybe 30 probably details but difficult to determine using these photos. based on the coloration changes on the reverse it probably had an old cleaning

The grid pattern in the images make it difficult to grade for me. And 1811 is pretty much the key date to the Classic Head Half Cents set.

I can see VF-30 sharpness, but agree the pics are difficult to evaluate. Those lines and patterns are strange indeed. to the CCF!

Very nice and Thank you for sharing. May i/we ask...how did you come upon this little beauty? I could go with VF-30 with her...probably looks even better out of the holder. Please don't try and clean her. It's also a Cohen 1 (wide date) Some more pics outside the holder would really help us out! smat

This appears to be a picture taken of a microscope screen and then posted correct? That would explain the interference lines (raster lines) in the picture. Cameras and screens do not play well together.
Your microscope should be able to either save its screen to a memory card which can be transferred to your computer, or it should plug into your computer in which case a computer screenshot will not make the interference and we could see the details.

Thank you all, and you are right earie42 this is a picture of the computer screen. I bought it at an auction in Kansas. Here's some not screen to screen but still in holder will upload when I get it home. Thanks again.
