Fantastic post very helpful information, thank you.

Reference Topic: http://goccf.com/t/353014

Hi, my name is Shelia nice to be here and learn. I have been saving all change for years and I'm just now at a point in life where I can start looking at some of it, with that said I have realized that there is a lot to learn.

In reference to the topic I have a 2022 Mankiller quarter that has those gouges and very just strange places it seems like a crossed her mouth and the the star. Very interesting for sure I am still in the learning process here as to uploading a photograph I'm working on that though.

Sheila,
I cannot tell if that thing on the lips is raised or incuse. If it is incuse, then it would be a hit or ding.

Anyway, can you please start your own topic for this coin so more people will see it?

99% of incuse marks on coins are damage to a coin. Only 1% are mint errors. Need to know which are which. (Sounds like a good topic for a thread?)

Looks like a typical hit from being in circulation.
