Second, as noted by @john the mint marks were added to the dies by hand and therefore are sometimes closer to different design features. To answer your specific questions, we have seen mint marks this close to the date previously. So it is inside the normal target area. Right of the bust and under the date. It appears normal. Report this Post to the Staff
