It seems like PMD but, also seems too uniform. I'm talking about the tops of the letters on "salt river bay" it's like something dead center is taking away from a few letters maybe? Thank you to this community for entertaining my questions and not being too bothered!! You all are great!

Definitely Die Deterioration, those spots seem to be high-stress areas on the die.

If it was PMD, how could it be so uniform? It took out the middle of the horizontal letters. Jake, the letters are incised, are the marks incised even more?

The devices are incuse on the coin, raised on the die. The die suffered some damage during polishing or chips broke off the die, thus making the missing areas of the devices on your coin. This is die damage, not coin damage. This area will be contain a DDR. The DDR is more in the central areas of the devices. So any movement you see on these incuse devices are just Machine Doubling. This area will never have a DDR, just Machine Doubling. ( Machine Doubling happens on this area 70% of the time, slight/mild or strong)

Cujohn those areas do seem less Incused or maybe even flush with the outer ring metal that the Incused letters were struck on. I think coop nailed it with his comment, and glad I'm starting to notice more and learn more about all the different aspects of inspecting coins! But coop, you're not saying there IS a DDR on this coin are you? But rather a DDR would be central in the Incused letters and not towards the outside right?

That makes more sense. Polished or ground off. and yes, a DDR would be more towards the center of the coin.
