The obverse looks more worn in general than the other two, so G(06)?

I'll say G-06 as well, probably cleaned long ago.

I think that it would reach VG-8 by the skin of its teeth. However, unlike the 1845, this 1872-S would not, in my opinion, be a choice VG-8. I'm not sure what the rub mark on the shield is, but I would concur with @Coinfrog in saying that the coin was likely rubbed/cleaned a while back.

I agree with panzaldi...the reverse will pull her to an 8...but if you only display the obverse...folks would question that...

Very flat obverse...nice amount of feathers on reverse eagle...I'm in the VG camp.

G-6 with not much personality. Flat and too uniform. Cleaned but market acceptable.
