So my grandmother found this coin on the ground. Seems too good to be true. Maybe it is? It has strange oxidation, and smells like a brass house key. It doesn't have that smooth silver feel. Is this fake? Should I get it tested? I hate having coins scratched... Even if they are already scratched!

Thoughts? I appreciate any input!

Here is he is the reverse. I don't know the weight, so I'll have to find a jeweler or cash for gold to weight it

Mushy and missing details on reverse especially say fake. Somebody probably tossed it to mess with the next person.

I agree with kbbpll, the mushy details stood out to me. The odd coloring on the obverse could be brass showing through the surface plating.

My thoughts as well. Maybe it's the pics, but for the apparent grade, everything seems much too soft.

Looks like some already did an acid test on it the way the obverse looks. My guess is it's a brass copy with silver wash.
