The Rev strike is much stronger than portrayed. All of the columns have detail. Maybe I'll try a different a different angle. I do see the little wave on the top center of the memorial building. It's a mint/die issue, not sure how that occurs. I'd like to know. Thanks again for the input.

Maybe someone can finally help me. What you're seeing isn't hits, ticks, etc, it's simply the minute variations of color. Every coin I photograph looks this way and I don't know how to fix it. I know this coin is at least MS 64/65. It seems as if the high definition is disorting what the coin actually looks like. I'm using my Samsung Phone with a little tripod in a corner, white walls diffuse a 2700k led. The pic look good until I actually see them a second time on the forum. I've spent more time than I want to admit trying to get good photos. Any advice would be great. Thank you.

Are you bouncing the light off your walls for your lighting? Try lighting the coin directly at a high angle with your LED lamp. If your phone camera has a shutter delay, make sure you use that to avoid camera shake. And try taking some photos of some newer uncirculated coins to compare.
