Is this the woody error? Also is there a website that has the value of errors? Other than PCGS & NGC price guides.
Also does it look doubled? Thank you for your input on this.

@mun, where are you seeing doubling with the coin in hand? Best would be to add a well-lit closeup pic of this area to the thread. Thx.

Are you thinking a doubled die is an error? It is a variety.

I wouldn't classify this as a "Woody"...also I wouldn't classify a "Woody" as an error, just a planchet discoloration.

A woody is an alloy mixing error.

Even on worn coins you will see the mixture that is in the metal that was cut to be a blank. Some vary in color and look more like wood than others.

These are different than the rolling lines seen on the current cents:

Zinc cent rolling lines on stock blanks/planchets:

On the rolling lines you often see these on the copper cents after the BU is gone. They they appear for a while until they wear off the coin. On the plated cents they can be see on before and after strikes. These are common to find and have no premium.

CoopHome: What are the differences between a woody coin and rolling lines? woody=metal issue. Rolling lines are a rolling stock metal that are seen on Memorial cents and even zinc cents.

Don't see this as a woody. Some like woodies, others not so much.
