Going thru my other Kennedy`s and I have this one. I`m pretty sure is md, but man its alot. Is this much normal? All on "half dollar" and the stars above it. Thanks.

Sorry to tell you, you are wrong. No MD on this coin. The first star over the F could be grease. The rest is correct for a circulated coin. The ^ in Date it is the only significative thing for 1964 D. Are mean some has a DD on the meddle of the 6 when reunite.

Now this is crazy silvosi, my understanding was that md was step like on the devices. So all the steps on the west sides of the letters and stars are not md? Wow I am flabbergasted. So this is all just circulation steps?

Look, what you have, I didn't want to say, because I will explain in JFK book. You has the design for 1965 strike on 64 different material forces etc. What you see is not really MD. The strike give the impression but it is not. The die make some lateral tresses. The stars are normal for the design. you find this MD how you say for all the years. In fact the MD is not an error or variety. If you want me to say MD I will say, do not cost me nothing.

It's slight Machine Doubling on 'Half". We often see strong examples of Machine Doubling on the Half Dollar areas on these. This is just a slight push. Because it is affecting the outside/inside edges of devices, it is Machine Doubling.

I see Machine Doubling on HALF. I do like the subtle toning.

I wouldn't say that this coin exhibits "major" MD.

I suspect you won't have to search long to find a half with more (wider) MD than your current example, MD is very common on the reverse

Thx everyone. Just seemed like a lot to me. But I'm no expert by any means. But at least I can see it and that's the main thing, knowing the difference. Thx much. Now I'm going to revisit my last one some of you responded to because I'm still lost on it. See y'all soon.

Yes this is MD. Not very bad MD compared to some halfs.

I agree that this half dollar exhibits signs of Machine Doubling.
