What is the mark on the cheek?

The marks on the cheek are scrapes\bag marks. It's the same on the reverse caribou.

I'd say MS63 but PCGS are not fans of marks on the devices so MS62 from them.

Even with Market Acceptable grading, I think at best it is MS64.

Probably how they saw this coin was technically a 64 but they raised the grade to a 65 due to the toning.

I saw this coin in the last RCNA auction or I think its the same coin and thinking it was over graded

For Canadian George VI and Elizabeth, I see PCGS (and NGC) do a lot of this...

1. MS64 or MS64+ surfaces
2. Nice color
3. Net grade = MS65 or MS66 dependent upon the eye appeal of the toning

Heck, NGC does the same thing for US coins. There's an 1879 Seated Half that I posted here that NGC rated as MS67+. At best it is a MS66.
