Hello and Hi everyone. Upon inspecting some recent coin roll hunting half dollar finds, I found this bicentennial Kennedy that has either some serious Machine Doubling or maybe a DDO. I'm putting my piggy's on MD but would love to hear from the others. Thank you.

I call that a medium bounce, Machine Doubling. What would a high bounce Machine Doubling look like:

Not a premium for these. They are machine doubled, not hub doubled, meaning the die was normal. On a doubled die, the doubling is on the die.

See the spread on the centers of this Doubled Die? Thus looking at the centers of the devices is where you will see a doubled die.

Yes good work @ell, thinking is is more likely MD. As shown by @coop a doubled die results in wider design elements, whereas the Machine Doubling has made yours narrower.

Well I have over 13K images to put thread together with. Sometimes it's hard to find the right image among the masses. But always have a lot of thoughts to share on different subjects with lots of images to make it easier to digest.
