ok this has to be what a doubled die looks like I have a 1976 D bicentennial quarter the R looks kind of funny along with the word eplluribus unum did I get it right this time I think I know what to look for but I'm not a 100 percent sure

Prisbrey, you seem to be bouncing all over the place in search of your doubled die. There are a few folks here that have a 'system' for searching out the elusive doubled die coins. (I'm not one of them).
But the easiest way to find error coins is to sort your coins by type (cent, nickel, dime) then year and then MM. This way you can see differences from normal coins to errored coins. Using sites like Variety Vista and others will help you learn as to what to look for in each year.

A DDO on that design will show spread on the devices similar to this coin:

on the top 2 pictures the doubled dies they look stepped to me so what do the mean when they say stepped and the bottom what they have been trying to tell me about if the lettering shrinks its not a doubled die I see what you mean now and another question if the tips of the devices are stretched does that mean any thing
