So have this awesome 1985 Penny which is the best one I've ever seen so far or where I've ever come across. Is it worthy for money to be spent on it? Also it appears to be missing the designers intials? Or does this year they didn't have them?

@new, that is a great condition coin that you found, but I agree with @john that the doubling is not the kind that is desirable. This coin is only worth face value.

Given the images posted, it appears there may be a split plating issue with the mint mark, and also early stage Die Deterioration on the obverse--note the ghost-like image on the 5 in 1985.

in order to even consider slabbing for the coin it would have to come in at MS68+ to be worth it...not even close. if you have a LMC set you might consider popping it into a slot but thats about it.
