Lurker here, I took up searcing for error coins as a way to relieve stress. Despite having zero success in finding anything of importance, the hobby has worked wonders in terms of having an outlet to decompress. Having said all that, I think this might be a Struck Through Grease coin? I've searched for comparable examples from the same year but haven't come across anything. Thanks!

Weight? If it is 3.11 grams, then it is probably grease. If less than that, let us know.

I added an additional pic.. for some reason when I resized the images they lost a good bit of sharpness/pixelation.

Edited to add: Yes the weight is 3.1 grams. I'm excited to have identified issue correctly. Lol

We saw a coin very much like this a couple days ago...? I believe the sense was that it was possibly a Dryer Coin. Could we get a close-in shot of the rim at an angle--trying to get sense for the nature of the rim. Thanks.

Looks pretty legit as a Greaser to me. I'd save it in a 2x2.

Looks like a Grease Filled Die. Unusual to see on both sides.

I took a few more pics as someone had asked about the rim at an angle. And yes the gram weight is appropriate. What you see below shows far greater detail than what you can see with the unaided eye. The reverse is wavy where the the fields are flat in areas and prominent in others. What I find amusing is that Abe in his chair is about the most sharply defined Abe I've seen on any LMC . Interesting penny and I shall put it in a sock drawer for safe keeping.

Thank you to the folks who answered my questions today. It's been educational and much appreciated.
