I was wondering a couple of things about this 1992p Jefferson nickel. Thanks in advance for any help. The "V" in the word "FIVE" on the reverse, is this a mint error and if so what kind of error would it be called? And again thanks for any help.
Die chip, maybe. Also could be damage on the V, top left of V shows a hit, pushing metal towards the I. A bright area between the V is the start of the hit. But it is always only in the eyes of the one speaking.
Looks more like a bag mark from another coin altering the 'V' on Five. So basically it is just damage to the coin. 99% of incuse mark into a coin are coin damage from circulation.
I am new to this ... obviously. So I will work on my picture taking. Thanks for the welcome and the help. I'm gonna go read the tutorials. See if an old man can learn something.ill upload better pics next round.
